The Fleet Reserve Association of Milwaukee Branch 14 will be sponsoring the annual Americanism essay contest. This year's theme is "What Would Service to Our Country Mean to Me". Eligible students for this contest are students in grades 7 through 12. Entries must be returned no later than December 1, 2024. Prizes are $100 1st place, $75 2nd place and $50 3rd place for each grade. There are also two additional $1,000 scholarships for 12 grade students. The National scholarship prize is $5,000. All 1st place winners from Branch 14 are forwarded to the region level for grading. Please see the attached for more information.

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants must graduate from a high school located in the United States. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools. The Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000.

Since 1981, the Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW), has been dedicated to providing scholarships and support to outstanding high school students pursuing engineering as a professional career.
Sponsored by the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers, the EFW promotes engineering education through annual scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities and need.

Each year the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) awards scholarships to Wisconsin students enrolling in a course of study leading to a degree in police science or criminal justice. All scholarships are awarded without regard to sex, race, cultural background, or religious preference. Financial need is not a criterion for selection in this scholarship program.
Any Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two - or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement related field – which does not include law school – is eligible.

The Phantom Scholarship has been created, supported, and financed by Alumni of West De Pere High School. The Alumni want to support the educational aspirations of graduates that have exhibited significant academic success and extensive co-curricular involvement.
Completed applications for the Phantom Scholarship must be returned to the West De Pere High School Student Services office by March 7, 2025. An Alumni committee will review completed applications and award a one-time college stipend of up to $5,000.00. The student must have attended West De Pere High School the student’s junior and senior year.

Robert G. Sharp, former Wisconsin Legislator and realtor from Oconto, Wisconsin left the bulk of his estate in a perpetual charitable trust for scholarships. Following his death in May 1962 the estate now grants scholarships to deserving graduates of the secondary schools in Brown and Oconto Counties.
Awards based on scholarship, exemplary character and financial need, are granted for attendance at any University in the Wisconsin System namely Eau Claire, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Parkside, Platteville, River Falls, Stevens Point, Stout, Superior or Whitewater; also Marquette and Lawrence universities, St. Norbert and Beloit Colleges and Bellin College of Nursing.
Scholarships consist of one thousand dollars per year for four years of undergraduate studies, provided a B average is maintained and financial need is unchanged. Selections are made by the Trustee in collaboration with the respective principals or counselors.
