Mission
Spanish Club is full of fun events. We usually kick off the year with a dinner at a Hispanic restaurant in the area. Many other times throughout the school year we get together to eat Hispanic food, whether it’s going out to eat or making the food ourselves. Each year Spanish Club purchases an acre of the rainforest and sponsors a young child from a Spanish speaking country. National Foreign Language Week, the first week in March, is our biggest event of the year. This week consists of many activities, such as cultural trivia, foreign food, translated lunch menus in the commons, tug-of-war, typical costumes, and cultural presentations. During this week, we also sponsor a taco salad lunch for all of the faculty and staff. Anyone interested in Hispanic culture is invited to join Spanish Club.
