Work and Career Based Learning
Youth Apprenticeship Program
Youth Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity for students to start preparing for a career while still in high school. One or Two-year Youth Apprenticeships combine education, occupational instruction,  and work-based learning from a local employer. Students will be awarded a Youth Apprenticeship​​​​​​​ competency certificate by the Department of Workforce Development upon​​​​​​​ successful completion of the  program curriculum as well as High School elective​​​​​​​ credit(s). Interested Sophomores or Juniors should contact the Youth Apprenticeship coordinator or their school counselor.

Trades Career Academy (TCA)
Trades Career Academy (TCA) is a collaborative program between the West De Pere and De Pere school districts. TCA is an alternative education program that selects junior and senior applicants who want to work and earn a wage in their chosen career field, while fulfilling their high school requirements through mostly online learning at an offsite location. They will complete the Department of Workforce Development’s Youth Apprenticeship program. This program is designed for the student who is looking for something different from the traditional educational setting while creating partnerships with area businesses and providing strong candidates to fill area workforce/manufacturing needs. All jobs are in a trades related area.
Service and Leadership Opportunities
Community Assistance Program (CAP)

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) allows students to volunteer in the community and accumulate volunteer hours toward earning a CAP medallion. Students who earn 100 or more hours by May 1 of their senior year will be awarded the medallion to wear with their cap and gown at graduation as a symbol of their commitment to their community.

National Honor Society (NHS)

The National Honor Society is a group of students committed to academic excellence. Students will get an invitation to be a member. If students meet the required cumulative GPA and course requirements, they can expect to get an invitation the summer before the induction year.
